STACKING 101: RING EDITION
A well-styled ring stack feels effortless, but it's all about balance. Build yours around three simple principles.
START WITH YOUR ANCHOR PIECES
Build around the rings you wear everyday. Weather it's a wedding band, signet ring or a favorite pinky ring, these are the pieces that define your stack.
They become the foundation, making it easy to add rings that feel intentional rather than overdone.
CHOOSE ONE STATEMENT
A single statement ring creates the most impact. If you're wearing a bold cocktail ring or a diamond-forward design, let it be the focal point and keep the surrounding rings more understated. This allows each piece to stand on its own while creating a stack that feels elevated and balanced.
The exception is when you're dressing for an occasion. Repeating statement rings can create a dramatic, high-impact look -- but spacing and proportion become even more important.
CREATE NEGATIVE SPACE
Not every finger needs a ring.
Leaving one or two fingers bare gives your stack room to breathe and draws more attention to the pieces you're wearing. Open space creates balance, while slimmer bands and flexible rings make layering feel effortless without becoming overwhelming.
